    Description

Miriam Margolyes, OBE, is the nation’s favourite (and naughtiest) treasure. Now, at the age of 80, she has decided to tell her extraordinary life story – and it’s well worth the wait. From declaring her love to Vanessa Redgrave to being told to be quiet by the Queen, this book is packed with brilliant, hilarious stories.

With a cast list stretching from Scorsese to Streisand, a cross-dressing Leonardo di Caprio to Isaiah Berlin, this memoir is as full of life and surprises, as its inimitable author.

Simply brilliant. This book is far more than just a collection of steamy tales (though those will certainly keep you entertained). It’s a riveting read from cover to cover. The most striking part for me was Miriam’s take on the current political mess, Brexit, and her disenchantment with England—it’s like she plucked the words right out of my mouth. Considering our 57-year age difference, that connection feels pretty special. A fabulous book by a fabulous woman.

    2. Solomon

I love her no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is attitude, and this book delivers just that. Right from childhood, you can see through her photos that Miriam was born to entertain. She takes you on a journey through her life, and what a life it is! She had me laughing out loud. When she rants about things, her passion leaps right off the page. I highly recommend this book. Miriam is truly an unforgettable force.
