A demigirl is a gender identity where someone feels a partial but not complete connection to femininity. A demigirl may identify with being a woman or girl to some degree, but not entirely or exclusively, and they might also identify with other genders or as gender-neutral.

What is the Demigirl Identity:

  • Partial Connection to Femininity: A demigirl feels a significant but not total alignment with womanhood.
  • Diverse Gender Expression: They may incorporate aspects of other genders or feel a sense of fluidity in their identity.
  • Individual Variation: Like all gender identities, the experience of being a demigirl is unique to each individual.

The Demigirl Flag:

The demigirl flag is similar in design to the demiboy flag but uses colors associated with femininity:

  1. Gray stripe: Represents partial gender identity and the spectrum of gender.
  2. White stripe: Symbolizes neutrality or agender identities.
  3. Light pink stripes: Reflect a connection to femininity and the traditional color associated with women and girls.

Is It a Trans Identity?

Like demiboys, demigirls may or may not consider themselves transgender, depending on their relationship with their assigned gender at birth. If someone was assigned male at birth and identifies as a demigirl, they might see themselves as part of the transgender community. However, someone assigned female at birth might not feel the need to adopt the trans label, viewing their identity as an extension of their assigned gender.
